ABI Electronics has designed its product range SYSTEM 8 around a modular concept - each module can be used separately or together with other modules. As standard, these modules can be fitted in the spare CD-ROM bay of a PC. However, the modules can also be mounted in external enclosures referred to as :

 

• MultiLink Case
  The MultiLink case houses one SYSTEM 8 module and can be used with any PC or laptop, connecting via a USB interface. Multiple cases can be linked together (USB hub may be required).
  
  

• External Case
  An external case can house several SYSTEM 8 modules (up to 5) and can be used with any PC or laptop, connecting via a USB interface. Depending on the number and types of modules installed in the external case, one or two USB ports will be required.
