Hand and wave solder PCB assembly

 

The hand insertion and wave solder line is configured for optimum flexibility, allowing PCB assembly from 1-off quick turnaround prototype runs through low to medium volume production throughputs.

 

 

Our line consists of: Hand assembly and insertion line - suitable for operators working on a variable speed conveyor. Quick set-up racking system.   Blundell CMS400-DF wave-solder machine - dual wave system, capable of wave-soldering both SMT as well as conventional through hole devices. Spray fluxing system allows precise control of PCB flux coverage. Forced air pre-heat ensures optimum temperature parameters are maintained, enabling the full and correct application of flux technology. Centre PCB assembly support system.   Post wave inspection line - in-line conveyor that allows operators to be positioned post-wave to inspect and rework the PCB assemblies as they are processed, giving a seamless production line.

 

 

Hand Assembly, Unit Assembly and Test

 

Hand soldering is available for specialized or custom-build PCB assemblies. All our operatives are trained to IPC standards to ensure that quality is built in to the products. We have the facility to manufacture prototype to full batch cable assemblies and wiring harnesses to the customer’s specifications.

 

 

Our equipment consists of:

• JBC Soldering station:The CD-B is a soldering station with the JBC Advanced system for general electronic applications. The system recovers the tip’s temperature extremely quickly. This increases work efficiency and lowers the solder temperature. This innovative technology allows a reduction of the temperature by at least 50ºC.

 

• Ersa IR 500A BGA Rework Station:  The IR 500A allows for safe and uniform rework without the need for component specific nozzles.

 

• JBC Hot Air Station: A high powered hot air station capable of reworking all types of SMDs.

 

• Mantis Elite Vision Inspection: High performance stereo microscope, offering 3D optical imaging with magnification options up to 20x, making it a perfect alternative to more traditional microscopes.

 

• Mantis Elite-Cam HD Vision Inspection: A variant of the Mantis Elite Stereo Microscope which has an integrated USB2.0 digital HD camera, bringing image capture capabilities to the outstanding optical performance of the Mantis.

 

• Carpenter-Compu-Strip 96: The Compu-Strip96 is a fully programmable bench top Measure, Cut & Strip Machine.
